Meet Jamie

Business Owner, Consultant

With over 15 years of progressive management experience, I have had the opportunity to work with all levels of large and small organizations.  I have seen first hand the pressures of small business, and service industry. Owners wear many hats congruently, and the services offered to help them are often blind to the other hats the owner is wearing. This can lead to misspent funds, wasted time and a lot of stress. 

I believe that there is a better option. One that involves planning for long term sustainable growth. This allows individuals to work cohesively and ______ towards the common goal, sustainable and profitable business.

I have worked with executives, owners, professionals and teams alike to establish common goals, and pathways to success. Working with companies to establish a culture of community and growth has been key to my success. I employ a wholistic approach to developing an organizational structure, communication channel, and key performance metrics that allow teams to function as a like minded community. This allows individuals and teams to work smarter, not harder.

My Education

I am a graduate of the University of Alberta School of Business with a BComm with Cooperative Education. In addition to my Bcomm, I have completed my Disney Business Excellence Certification, Strategies Incubator Program, and various Management certifications. I have experience in marketing, auditing, compliance, leadership, and all forms of small business management.

In addition to my formal education, I have attended service industry educational conferences in Austin, LA, Pheonix, San Diego, Calgary, Las Vegas and Edmonton. I have mentored, partnered with, and learned from some exceptional business owners. My favourite education was the Disney Institutes Business Excellence course. Below I am pictured wearing my graduation ears.

My Mission

I love to help people, and I love to make people's lives easier so they can enjoy and appreciate what surrounds them. Growing up in a family full of small business owners, I have a deep appreciation for the challenges of small business. I have dedicated my career to learning everything I can that will allow me to make the connections, fill in the gaps, and create the space for small businesses to flourish and be a place of pride and profit.

My Experience

After spending 8 years as General Manager for one of Western Canada's Top Medical Spas, I can proudly say that I have worn almost all the hats that accompany small business. I have been involved in planning, problem solving, creating and managing diverse departments from Maintenance to Upper Management. From Inventory to Sales. From Customer Service to Medical Policy.
